FollowNet features: Smart Connect, protocols, DNS, Auto-connect, and more
A full tour of what ships in the iOS app and Chrome extension — protocols, Smart Connect, Auto-connect, DNS, Network Profiles, widgets, Speed Test, and Free vs Premium.
Protocols + Smart Connect
In Settings → VPN Protocol you can pick Smart (recommended), IKEv2, WireGuard, AmneziaWG, or Hysteria2. Smart Connect chooses a working path from WireGuard / AmneziaWG / Hysteria2 / IKEv2 using network context and fallbacks when a handshake fails. Optimal location picks a server by ping.
Auto-connect, DNS, Network Profiles
Auto-connect modes: Disabled, Wi‑Fi Only, LTE Only, or Always (iOS on-demand rules). DNS presets: Default, Cloudflare, Google, AdGuard, AdGuard Family, Quad9. Network Profiles bundle protocol + DNS + auto-connect + server mode (Fastest / Last used / Specific) — presets Smart, Public WiFi, Travel, plus custom profiles.
Speed Test, Statistics, widgets, Shortcuts
In-app Speed Test measures download, upload, latency, and jitter while connected. Statistics covers today and the week. The VPN Status widget shows country, timer, and ping. Apple Shortcuts: Connect, Disconnect, Apply VPN Profile.
Free vs Premium + Chrome
Free has a weekly traffic cap and core servers; Premium unlocks unlimited traffic, all servers, up to 5 devices, and an ad-free experience. Chrome adds a browser proxy, protection if that proxy disconnects, and EasyList/AdGuard ad blocking. It protects Chrome traffic only: full-device macOS and Android apps are not available yet.
