Why widgets matter for VPN
Opening FollowNet every time you glance at the lock screen breaks the “set and forget” habit. Widgets surface whether the tunnel is up, which mode you are in, and a quick path back into the app — without turning the Home Screen into a control panel.
What you can see today
FollowNet widgets focus on connection status and a short nudge to connect or open Settings. They respect iOS layout sizes so a small widget stays readable next to calendar and battery tiles. We keep the chrome minimal on purpose.
Pair with Auto-connect
Widgets are status, not a replacement for Auto-connect. If you want VPN to start on café Wi‑Fi, set Auto-connect in the app; use widgets to confirm it actually did. That split keeps automation boring and visible.
What we will not cram in
No fake speed graphs or marketing badges on the Home Screen. If a metric is not actionable in two seconds, it stays inside the app next to Speed Test and protocol controls.
